It started with a conversation between a Mother and Daughter.

I was at the tail end of a Twenty Three Year career as an Intensive Care Paramedic, and Eva was taking a gap year. We decided to build something together.

What pushed us was watching Eva spend her hard earned money on cheap, fast-fashion bikinis that fell apart within a season. We wanted to make something better high-quality, sustainable bikinis in the bold, tropical prints we both love. Pieces that would actually last.

We emigrated from Northampton, in the middle of England, in 2009. Eva was two years old. I wanted her to grow up somewhere with a tropical climate and stunning beaches, and I was lucky enough to be sponsored to work as a paramedic in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

After Twenty Three years in emergency services, I wanted to follow my passion for fashion and design at Forty Seven. Building a business with my teenage daughter makes it even more special.

To create something beautiful for women to enjoy on the beach, and feel confident in, is the best business in the world a long way from the traumas you see working as a paramedic.

We now live as a blended family with three kids and three cats on the South Coast.
